wel im just completely shocked just like the kelston principal at the way the ARU has punished these talented young players because why is it that the kelston players have been given far more time then the grammar players who were just as bad as the kelston players ?
im not from any of the 2 schools but from mags and im just thinking how can our young men of today become the future of nz rugby if this is how you treat them ? rugby is not about winning but it is about having a great time aswel as uniting people and bringing us togeather as one it is also about fairness and playing by the rules but where is the fairness in this ? now i know that they had a bit of a misshapp at the end there but there just boys right and its not as if this is the first time a brawl has happened in a school rugby match or any sport in that matter i really believe that kelston should be given far less then what they hav received like 4-6 months and maybe even some community service within there communities like promoting that what they have both done is wrong and should not be played by anyone in any sport. now secondly the media , the media hasnt at all made this matter in better as a matter of fact they have just made the thing worst then what it would have been !
i mean if the media wasnt involved it wouldnt make kelston look like criminals right now because the way the media keeps showing them on tv its just not helping them nor is it helping there community and how can kelston promote there school now if this is what the media and the ARU thinks of them ! kelston players were stood down from school and then they got this now thats just showing that nobody has a heart in this matter! well thats all ive got to say for now and i really hope that kelston have an appeal against this because its just wrong , not even in the professional world of rugby have we seen 16 months so yeah i wish both teams luck for the future and i hope that nothing like this happens ever again in any sport..

a kelston player throws one punch and gets 12 months....a grammar player throws 5 and gets 4 weeks...just because kelston punch harder than grammar poofters is that reason to penalise them more?

BAN BOTH TEAMS FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR! ITS A BIT HARSH HAVING ONE SCHOOL SUSPENDED LONGER I AINT NO RUGBY FAN BUT GEESH BOTH WERE IN THE WRONG. ALSO WATCHING THE PLAYERS COME OUT OF THE JUDICIARY ROOM THERE WERE PLAYERS THAT WERE REALLY REMORSEFUL FOR THERE ACTIONS. MAKE BOTH TEAMS ACCOUNTABLE AND LET THEM PROMOTE TO ALL SCHOOLS AROUND THE DISTRICT ON WHY FIGHTING SHOULD NOT HAPPEN ANYWHERE WHILE PLAYING ANY SPORTS . LET THE BOTH TEAMS START AGAIN FRESH NEXT YEAR UNDER STRICT CONDITIONS. EG ALL TEAM MEMBERS INVOLVED FROM BOTH SIDES MEET TOGETHER TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENDED AND FIX IT TOGETHER. WHETHER IT BE FUNDRAISING (BAR B QUE) FOR A PRIMARY TEAM WHO IS LOOKING FOR FUNDING FOR SPORT GEARS. GET BOTH SIDES TO COOK AND SELL TOGTHER... I DUNNO BUT YOUR PUNISHMENT IS WRONG.

Andy Dalton and his panel sounded like bullocks that have just dropped their balls into their own dung.If you were fair with your decisions you wouldnt have been on national tv justifying yourselves. In your view you have punished the boys accordingly. According to what??? How hard the punches were? How many times they threw punches? WHAT A JOKE! Both Kelston and Grammar were throwing punches or did you only see Kelston. Maybe it was according to how dangerouse the punches were or did you not see the no.13 from Grammar throwing 2 or more punches right next to a woman who was trying to protect her teenage daughter from harm (I was right there). You say your decision was purely on the evidence and footage provided and not on any racial basis. Well what a laugh. Maybe not racial but still discrimination of one type or another. Your words are one thing but your actions come across loud and clear no matter how you colour it up. The only message you have sent to the nation is that there is one rule book for grammar and another rule book for kelston. Be a man and do the right and fair thing for all the boys involved. As head of the board make your decisions based on your passion for the game and on your experience as a great AB player OR have you forgotten what that was like. You go around inspiring young rep. players ( I have heard you speak) with words of commitment and loyalty and yet you let your judgment be clouded by a judiciary committe who have not once put themselves in these young boys shoes or lack the passion that these boys (from both sides) have for the game. Where is your loyalty to your job to be just and fair? Punish them but punish them equally regardless of who threw the first punch. Please leave your politics in your board room with the rest of the OLD furniture and not bring it to where our young talented players are trying to make their dreams come true because that is more distasteful than the brawl itself. Ditto ditto to SMOOTHS last comments.

I believe in NZ law no one can be punished for the some offence twice. The Kelston layers who have been suspended from school have been given a punishment. The suspension from playing is a second punishment for the same offence.

Where's the fairness in the punishment of the two teams.
Both teams were involved so both teams should have recieved the same punishment. They were two school rugby teams whose role models were probably the 'All Blacks'. Enough said.

You know whats funny? How you would expect that this would happen against southside schools..... You know whats more funny? How none of the schools are even from southside..... You know whats even more funnier? That the media are a bit slow to pick up on this issue and to be quite frank its been taken a bit too far because to be honest they publish this incident and make it look like its the first time it has ever happened in a secondary school competition when in fact there have been many rugby brawls in many games throughout many seasons. The difference is that unfortunatley there was media coverage of the game so this was bound to go public. What happened was wrong dont get me wrong but to be honesst it was all a bit over exaggerated and its not like this hasn't happened before. Rugby has just turned into an ugly sport and thats why its not that popular anymore.......
