Ken Ring - the Moon Man

Ken Ring - the Moon Man

This weekend in Christchurch the minds of many Cantabrians were on Ken Ring's prediction of a very large earthquake for the region.

Some people are arguing last night's 5.1 aftershock, is evidence Mr Ring was right.

But did Mr Ring predict a 5.1 aftershock, which would cause very little damage and no injuries at all? And if that had been the earthquake he predicted, would so many Cantabrians have left the city or spent the weekend there in fear?

What, exactly, did Mr Ring predict?

Watch the video to hear his words, over the past six months.

Wake up people. This guy is a complete fraud. Quoting Dave, "I would still believe him over the so called experts paid for by the tax payer." Did you even go to school? Ring has published a book on how to read cat paws and you would rather believe him than scientists that have spent their whole adult lives studying earthquakes.

Well I would say that the 'most' New Zealanders that apparently wouldn't have even heard of Ken Ring would be the ones with their heads & minds in the sand...so ignorant enought to have not heard of him, so also ignorant in regards to his theories & most probably the first to contradict what the man has to say.

Its interesting to note that mosy New Zealanders wouldnt have even heard of Ken Ring until John Campbell hijacked his theory and turned it into a prediction. The media strikes again...

Ken Ring was right on the money with his predictions for quakes on the 5th & 20th of march 2011. A week or so before the quake on the 20th I listened to this so-called conventional guy on TV who was apparently completing his doctorate & who also said he had taken a hard look at the ideology behind Ken Ring's predictions & it was interesting that he commented that the phase of the moon on the 20th should actually make things more stable & safer, so wonder what he has to say....just another conincidence I suppose. Another thing the conventional fraternity seem to be saying is that the moon may influence the smaller earthquakes but not the larger ones, so what category can we say that the quake of 5.1 on March the 20th was in?

Ken has predicted two big ones, so I would still believe him over the so called experts paid for by the tax payer. Also this type of story is just getting ridiculous. If i just nod and agree will you stick to the news and quit with the over the top kids comments and your personal crusade.

Nicely presented story - this time just the facts ... much better than your blustering interview last time. Only a fool would look at the facts and still give any credence to Ken Ring .... but as they say one is born every minute
anti-science and lack of science understanding are now so pervasive in all western societies that ignorance is mainstream as shown by most comments here

Ken Ring is not qualified to make earthquake predictions whatsoever. Nobody can accurately do that down to the magnitude, time and location. Anyone foolish enough to believe his scatterbrained logic is too gullible to know otherwise. John Campbell got the truth and now you want to believe in a fantasy that is completely off target. Sure it was 5.1. I live 5 minutes away from the epicentre and it was not that violent. It was sharp but too quick to cause much damage. Get over it you #MoonChildren (Lunatics). Ken Ring is no oracle. Just an egomaniac with too many followers. He should have just stayed off TV all together. Fair go would have done the same to Ken Ring as John Campbell if they had the chance. Sometimes the truth hurts too much for most people to believe. I stayed here in Christchurch as every true Cantab should have. Stand Up Christchurch!

John, you are getting to be more one eyed by the day. You are supposed to be presenting both sides of the story, but sadly, you only want to sensationalise everything.
In reality if the media went trolling through every blog on the net, we would be presented with thousands of theories and opinions daily, and in such a way as to present tham all as fact.
