Prime Minister John Key used his speech at the National Party's annual conference to flesh out the deal for the first float of energy company Mighty River Power.

As expected, some sweeteners have been included.

Mr Key has confirmed the deal will involve ‘loyalty shares’ for those who hold onto their shares for a set period.
