Prime Minister John Key isn't concerned about whether his handshake bungle with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw remains on YouTube.

Footage of the incident shows John Key floundering as International Rugby Board chairman Bernard Lapasset gets his handshake in first.

The video was removed from YouTube after a copyright complaint by the International Rugby Board, but John Key isn't fazed one way or the other.

"I don't know, I was pretty surprised," he told RadioLIVE. "I don't care if it's up there."

The clip remains available on 3news.co.nz – watch it here.

The three-way handshake spawned a Facebook page called: "That awkward moment when John Key crashes your handshake".
