like everything and everyone else in NZ, Key is just using the Chathams as a PR tool to ratify other agendas; in this case put $400,000 into Social Housing So he can justify an increase in HNZC rents in November? No toilets, just Rhubarb?

Once again, this trip to the Chathams goes to show that john key fails New Zealand as a leader among it's people. In America, politicians foolishly kiss babies for the cameras to get votes. In the Chatham Islands all he did was kiss a lobster and walk around shaking hands but that won't get him any local votes. He fails the population there by blaming the present infra structure problems on past leaders and yet he IS the leader now and offers nothing new to help the people who need it the most. Simply put, john key doesn't really know what to do!

$400,000 for housing? why the hell would the Govt offer that when whanau are leaving the Islands in droves. Do they think it is like the field of dreams - if you build it, they will come? Would the govt not be better to invest in infrastrucuture to aid in economic development on the island in primary industries? These people contribute 260 million to NZ's GDP each year, power is 5 times the price per unit as in NZ - and as for kissing a crayfish - keep it real JK and co.

Hell will freeze over before JK will provide any real help, unless there is something in it for him, eg drilling for oil. He is just ticking a box and going for a good feed. Nothing new.

Prime Minister? more like Fascist who stirs hatred and negative senitment against minority groups. Guess you have to start buying off small sectors of New Zealand with miniscule funds. Isnt it amazing how easy it is for Mr Key to find money when he wants too. Where is it coming from however? Who is he going to have to stir up hatred against now so that he can make more cuts to pay for it?. Funny thing is kids and families across the entire country are fleeing in droves.

I find it quite insulting the John Key will kiss a crayfish and gloat that it is $80.00 per kilo and laugh and ask if we are jealous when so many children in our schools are going hungry! Does he not get it????
