This guy gains $60k allowance from NZ gov, and he and his family keep applying for $250,000 per quarter for rent, also he got a $30,000,000 property in Auckland! All these money are from tax-payers in NZ! What do you think of him now?? Why do we argue about this!? Just kick him out!

Since when did we start treating New Zealand citizens and permanent residents like exchangeable commodities? This is just disgraceful and demonstrates how much the so-called New Zealand government is in the back pocket of corporate American interests. The case against this man in paper thin and is based on a very loose and dubious interpretation of US law. Perhaps Kim should consider taking these clowns to the court of human rights at the Hague.

I am saddened and disgusted at the whole business, the way Mr Dotcom has been treated, you would think he was an international drug dealer or "dictator" on the run.
He has had his business shutdown before he's even had a trial to prove any guilt or innocence, where else has that happened?, has he been singled out by the US because hes not american? and when did we in NZ start being an offshoot of US law enforcement? NZ'ERS if the US has that much power in nz, we should all be worried.
I personally wish Kim Dotcom the best, and hope he wins his case.

This makes me sad to be a kiwi, so many police for a few people accused of non violent crimes? We don't see that type of response to the rapists or murderers lurking in the community. Shameful.

What is the bet that one day soon, the NZ taxpayer will have to pay Out millions of dollars in compensation to Kim Dot-com for the illegal police raids and imprisonment on the bullshit USA charges, just like other big news police raids that have turned into a laughing stock in this country,

Look up mega box on the internet and see that he was about to offer 90% to artists, then you might see why they shut him down.

Mega upload is one of many site which people use for large data transfer. For Mega upload to be raid, halt the site which will lose revenue because of this and to find out later on that he may not be extradited to the US is a tactic to destroy businesses. Also, for anyone who lives in New Zealand, it is possible for you to be extradited into another country if you have done something wrong in this country. YouTube has tons and tons of illegal shit uploaded every single day and its based in the US, yet mega upload is removed within day which is based in New Zealand. This has set a precedent for New Zealanders.

The Judge asked prudent questions about his name changes, which clarified the reasons. I believe from memory his names have been Kim Schmitz(Father's Sirname)then changed to Kim Jim Dot Vesta(Mothers maiden name), then to Kim Dotcom(all legally changed in Finland).

The case for extradition maybe 6months, or more away(even yesterday the Judge didn't know). Let's not pre-judge. Be patient hear both sides of evidence, leave out the hearsay, gossip,& rumours. In NZ we are to be considered innocent till proven guilty. Let us not abuse that right, & degrade it. It is all to easy for people to throw rumours to hurt the innocent, & drive wedges between people.
