Kings of Leon have no plans to break up following the cancellation of their tour last month and will "be back better than ever", according to the mother of three of the rockers.

The ‘Sex On Fire’ hitmakers scrapped the remaining dates of their US tour after frontman Caleb Followill walked offstage midway through the group's show in Dallas, Texas following complaints about the intense heat and problems with his voice.

He was subsequently ordered by doctors to rest his vocal cords for an entire month. The group quickly hit back at growing speculation they had kicked Caleb out of the group due to his drinking habits.

And Betty Ann Murphy - mother of Caleb, Nathan and Jared and aunt to Matthew - has laughed off reports the band is quitting and entering rehab, insisting her boys just drink "more than they should".

She tells America's Star magazine, "It's not the end of the band. Sometimes they all drink more than they should - they're young men and go on a binge. None of them need rehab. They'll be back better than ever."
