New Zealand horse Ocean Park has handed jockey Glen Boss a third Cox Plate, and become the first Kiwi horse in over a decade to win the title after a strong surge to the finish line.
“I feel like this is my finest moment,” Boss tells NZN Newswire. “This horse is just a winner.”
Ocean Park’s run at the 400m mark closed down All Too Hard with 100m to go before pulling ahead.
"He gave me a great ride and always felt like he was going to win throughout the run," Boss adds.
"To all those who doubted him, stick that up your shirt.”
