On June 19, New Zealander Matthew Scheurich narrowly survived an
extraordinary attack in a remote region of Papua New Guinea.
He
was shot by a tribesman who wanted him dead so he could marry his French
girlfriend.
Matthew
was hit by arrows through his stomach and his right lung pelted with rocks and
almost bled to death.
While
he has been recovering in hospital - the story has gone around the world. But
until now the couple have remained silent.
Matthew decided it was time to do one interview,
speaking exclusively with Natasha Utting on his discharge from hospital in Townsville.
Watch the full interview.
