A Nelson peanut butter manufacturer is hoping an old-fashioned Kiwi road trip will spread the word about his product.
Pic Picot plans to travel the country in October selling Pic’s Peanut Butter on toast for $2 a slice from a custom-made silver bullet caravan.
Mr Picot says he found the caravan, which looked an oversized toaster, and decided it would be perfect for a countrywide tour.
“I had a chat to Vogel’s, who make my favourite bread – the only real toast to put your peanut butter on, and they got really excited too,” he says.
“Vogel’s and Pic’s Peanut Butter are going to trot around the country with this amazing caravan, and two of England’s finest toasters, making peanut butter on toast.”
Pic Picot says all proceeds are being donated to the Blind Foundation given his own struggle with sight.
