Kiwi triathlete Andrea Hewitt is ready to make a statement at Sunday's ITU World Cup event in Auckland.

However the world number two is already guaranteed a spot at the London Olympics next year.

A strong New Zealand men's contingent will also line-up in Auckland, including Bevan Docherty, Kris Gemmell, Clarke Ellice and Ryan Sissons.

One triathlete who won’t be lining up on Sunday is missing out due to injury is Kate Mcilroy.

She is still recovering from surgery after gashing her right toe at an event in Noosa two weeks ago and is disappointed she'll miss the chance to race at home.
