On behalf of the PM of Samoa and the Samoans back home, I am taking this opportunity to convey my sincere thanks to John Key the Prime Minister of New Zealand and all NZders for the most kind and speedy effective response to the SOS call from my darling island Samoa. Admittedbly I think the most emotional and touching interaction between our NZders and our Samoans is when I saw John taking control of the lavalava and being at the actual site of disaster with our village people and sitting in the fale with the matais. I always believe that the leader that can adjust his ways to suit any or all levels of society and age groups is a champion.
