Sixteen-year-old Aleisha Robertson from Auckland has been crowned the winner at the international teen beauty pageant held in Texas

For the first time, a New Zealander has won the title of Miss Teen World.

Sixteen-year-old Aleisha Robertson from Auckland has been crowned the winner at the international teen beauty pageant held in Texas.

The Remuera schoolgirl competed last year but didn't place.

She won several awards as well as the title, including most photogenic.
