I hope there is a follow up story about these 3 intrepid people who are actually successfully, trying to 'make a difference' in this world. I feel certain that the horses' welfare is being treated as of paramount importance and no one is entering this race with their eyes closed. It is clearly not for the faint hearted!

As a veterinarian who has worked in Mongolian teaching Mongolian veterinarians I must say I have huge doubts about the ethics of this race. Westerners have no idea of the nature of Mongolian horse training and the culture of horse racing in Mongolia. I doubt that the organisation of this race will be sufficient to prevent harm to the horses. This may sound like a great, exciting idea, but at what cost to the horses?!!

What a great thing to be undertaking and hopefully generating money for this great charity. I hope Kiwis will back these girls.
