I moved to Australia 4 years ago, yes I found it very hard at first, the main reason was to make money, and send it back to NZ to help my mom. I now work in the mines in WA, I am on very good money, I brought a house 2 years ago I will have it paid of in 5 years. I would tell kiwis be careful if you are coming to WA, Australia. Am I happy here, no I am not, I wish I could return to NZ, but money talks and I want a good nest egg when I retire.

let them go to Australia and experience the so called better life. high rents, expensive grocery's, increasing inflation, Demanding workplace bosses and bullies rife in australia. 10,000 potential jobs shelved in South Australia due to BHP Canceling their flagship mining project due to a downturn in export profits with the Chinese economy slowing down. Lets face it the boom is over and I have seen it long time coming.

i am retired but if I was younger I would leave too. I am sick of all the Maori whinging and the so called treaty. No one is responsible for what has gone on before nor can you rectify it. Obviously many decent Maori have had enough too. Leaving for Australia and opting out of the Maori roll. Interesting how the activists all consider themselves Maori even if it is only a smidgen. However when we have a pedophile in Kaitaia the media call the offender part Maori.Unless this nonsense is stopped this country is stuffed.
