Kraft's takeover of Cadbury could mean the end of some Kiwi favourites

It could be the end of the line for Pebbles, Perky Nanas, Eskimos and Jet Planes.

Kraft's takeover of Cadbury could spell the end of some special kiwi treats.

The British author of a book on confectionery says the multi-billion dollar takeover by the US firm will see the emphasis placed on productivity and growth.

Tim Richardson says that means there will probably be a focus on global brands that do well – and getting rid of local ones.

if they touched the cadbury local products in each country, cadbury would go bankrupt. This is what Kraft do and they leave the worst cheapest replacement. hopefully the shareholders will reject the offer
