I could not agree more with Mary!!! after smoking cannabis myself regularly for a couple of decades I bought a small sachet of one of the well recommended legal brands (not Kronic) just the other day as a matter of curiousity. All I can say is YUCK!!!!!!!!! tasted terrible, smelt terrible, murder on the throat, felt like I had a hangover. It offends the good name of Cannabis by association! If pot was legal, I would have a plant in my yard too Mary 8) it would go in the herb garden where it rightfully was at the start of the 1900s

Jacqui, you disgust me. Labelling her an addict is worse. Smoke some pot, then come back and speak - until that point, you have no basis on which to form an educated, well rounded opinion. Because this suggestion unfortunately requires you to break an equally uninformed law, smoke a Kronic joint. It's not nearly as good - I support this woman's opinion, fully organic cannabis trumps this "sprayed stuff". However, it may dawn on you that this small plant is harmless, unlike your next glass of wine/beer. And don't even get me started on the advantages of a hemp industry in NZ.

I find synthetic weed no different to real weed apart from taste. The high feeling is the same if not stronger and that's what people are after. If they weren't then they wouldn't smoke weed (synthetic or real). I agree with Lawyer in regards to alcohol being more destructive and that's speaking with a great deal of experience on my behalf

I agree that kronic isn't the same high and after awhile you get used to it,
Although i haven't had any bad experiences with it except for that it tastes like crap,, Its quite good.
I have heard mates complain about headaches from kronic though...
I still prefer the NATURAL weed it just suits me better and its more relaxing.. They should just replace kronic with NATURAL weed in shops it would make alot more sense !

Good on this woman for fronting up, it`s very sad in this miserable little country that people have to sneak and not reveal thier names because of something that should never have been made illegal, if anything should be illegal its filthy alcohol!!!,,alcohol is the strongest drug of ALL.
as for this kronic I know heaps of people who smoke it with no problems and they are extremely happy

This just goes to show that people that think all the people who smoke marijuana are in the sterotype of "potheads" are wrong. Marijuana is popular within all age brackets, occupations, genders, religions ect. And for all those people that are shaking their heads at this women, if you drink alcohol you are far worse than what shes doing. And shes right with everything she says. You can't overdose from marijuana, like alcohol. You can't become physically addicted to marijuana, like alcohol. It's only a matter of time til places around the world legalize cannabis.

The chemical contained in Kronic (JWH-018 and similar compounds) is a synthetic full agonist of the CB1 and CB2 cannibinoid receptors in the brain. From a biochemistry point of view it binds very similarly to the right receptors to give a similar high feeling but has a structure very different from THC (the active chem in cannabis). Quite simply it has very similar effects chemically in the brain as THC, but like all smoke it will be damaging to health. Some people have mentioned there has been no long term studies of subsequent effects which is true but the pharmacology (how the drug is broken down and excreeted) has been studied. It seems that this chemical on face value is not too harmful as it mimics THC very well, long term effects are unclear though. People need to be aware of the risks, and this should be regulated but as far as banning it we have to weigh up the pros and cons. Yes it may have undesireable long term effects, but so do alcohol and tobacco (the two most damaging drugs on the planet). Its hardly a reason to ban it. Its legal, so users do not run the risks that cannabis poses. This drug is currently not controlled by gangs, like a large proportion of marajuana is in this country. It already carries a self imposed R18 rating. Decide for yourself, but I beleive banning this product is unneccessary.

I'm glad this issue is at least stirring up the whole cannabis debate. I work in a workplace where random drug testing is likely to be coming soon. If I smoke the real stuff, my boss will want to see me in his office even if I didn't use it on the job. This stuff is harder to detect and legal. However is it safe? I think the changes being brought in a better than an outright ban. However, isn't a change in the laws concerning cannabis More than a little overdue? I can see pot being illegal in 2020 at the current rate of change.
