Hitler rose through the unions, then the labour party. He blamed hard economic times on the Jews, told pure Germans to hate and to rise up
war began. ( labour/greens politics doesn't change still lots of hate)

I myself like to use Hilter as a short-circuit argument; mainly because most New Zealanders have absolutely nothing in the way of a political education, but do 'know' that 'Hilter was bad'.
Woods would have been better served by using an analogy from Harry Potter or something.
