Returning now to the New Zealand family caught up in the tragedy of Haiti.
The sister of Emily Sanson-Rejouis is offering New Zealanders the rare opportunity to buy some of her famous art to raise funds for charity.
Sarah Larnach is the woman behind the distinctive album artwork for her best friend, Pip Brown aka Ladyhawke.
As Ladyhawke took the stage at the Big Day Out just hours ago, few would have known of her close link to a family's heartache.
She spent yesterday supporting her friend Ms Larnach.
Ms Larnach will be familiar to many New Zealanders as the talent behind the distinctive art on Ladyhawke's album and video clips.
Yesterday as the family gathered to discuss what they could do to help their sister, she decided to auction a piece of the art to raise money for charity.
"I felt a little bit helpless, and Pip was with us there being supportive for me," she says. "I came to the realisation that was the one thing I could probably do."
The piece is an original artwork called 'Kittens in Love'. Ms Larnach says she never thought she or Pip Brown would ever sell any of the artworks, but these are special circumstances.
"I didn't want it to be an image that didn't mean anything to me. It needed to be a bit of work and a bit of sacrifice on my part as well, that's why I chose one of these images that's so special to me."
The auction closes on eBay on Monday and the money will go to children's charities working in Haiti.
