A Wellington barrister who provided the Serious Fraud Office with a dossier on Radio New Zealand’s finances says his copy of the dossier was stolen during a break-in at his work.

Police are now investigating the burglary at John Hickling's office.

The documents allege hundreds of thousands of dollars went missing from the state broadcaster between 1999 and 2003.

Mr Hickling's wife Lynne Snowdon was sacked as the boss of National Radio news in 2005. The documents relate to her fight to get her job back.
