New Zealand on Air says it will not give any more funding to National MP Melissa Lee's production company, until she repays $80,000 of taxpayers' money.

The broadcasting agency has written to Lee, saying her company, which produces TVNZ's Asia Downunder, has broken the rules, and needs to pay back the money.

Broadcasting Minister Jonathan Coleman says he knew about the issue in August, but thought it "didn't sound like a big deal".

Wow, It seems like our Prime minister is backing our MISS LEE.
She wouldn't mind going for $160,000 for the next round.

Will the prime minister back a member of public or any local businesses for the same corruption?
If not, why special treatment to Ms.Lee
Different law to Ms.Lee
Different Law to Mr.Taito.
Different law to the serial killer of Mr.Patel
Tax dept should audit ms.lee's last 7 yrs account and to find out how many millions she's been making without declaring to the tax dept and to find out where all the monies are? (In NZ or gone to China).

Why doesn't NZOA give somebody else a chance to make the program? Lee's been getting more than $1m/year for at least 12 years & still NZOA is rolling over funding to her for 2010. Paying back $80,000.00 will be easily covered by her take from the budget.
