My daughter is in hospital after I had to get the police to help get her to the hospital. She cannot sleep without medication, she is paronoid and confused. The effects of smoking K2 have been devestating to her mental health.she chose k2 as it is legal and is now very unwell. She has been in hospital for 10 days now and well be there for some time yet. She trusts no one including me, and the whole thing is very frightening for all of us. She is going through hell. This product needs banned now. If you r taking it then stop. If u r thinking of taking it I warned u. It is horrible.

I work at a psychiatric hospital. We're seeing teenagers presenting with psychosis following regular use of K2. They often buy it because it's cheaper than cannabis and you can buy it at the dairy. Many seem unaware they're 'playing with fire' when it comes to their future mental health and well being.

K2 only exists because of workplace drug-testing and the continued prohibition of cannabis. Government and law enforcement have created this situation in my opinion.

If the government would just legalise and regulate cannabis there wouldn't be all this drama over research chemicals with unknown side effects. One of the main reasons a lot of people are smoking K2 and other legal highs is because it is hard to detect on drug test done in their workplace. Cannabis is natural and has been proven time and time again that it is safer than alcohol, cigarettes and is obviously safer than synthetic cannabinoids. Drug companies that make these legal highs are constantly creating new chemical mixes that will bypass the law when their old chemicals have become illegal. Has anybody heard Albert Einstein's definition of insanity?

This article is just a typical, "think of the children" piece of media hype. If it wasn't for workplace drug testing these substances wouldn't have half the market they currently do. That's the only reason I use them, and yes I'll agree they are a lot stronger than the real stuff. However my boss is on the warpath to identify everybody who so much as looks at a joint over the Christmas holidays. This stuff can be detected, but doing so is a lot harder than detecting real cannabis.
