How much of tax payers money shall we bet that all politicians have spent their "political credit card" for personal use, paid or not paid I bet they've all done it they just haven't been investigated. Is it that just so happens Len Brown is from "Manukau" right in the heart of South Auckland and leading the way with the polls to lead super city that this has to come out? Why is it that it takes an individuals mistake to over cast ALL the good they have done in the community? We're slowly becoming "nagging kiwis" like the aussies.....
I am really concerned, and hope Len Brown's bank is investigating the fact they only have 'one' credit card. Either it is in one name with an additional card holder or it is a joint a/c. Either way both people have to have their own card. Is Len Brown lying here? I would like Campbell Live to investigate further. What bank does he have. What are their terms and conditions. Surely we want a mayor we can trust and if he does not understand some fundamentals of personal expenditure then I for one do not want him leading our city and would question his honesty. You stick by the rules Len - end of story. Go home get your credit card - plain and simple. Don't trust him. PLEASE follow up so we know if he was lying. Thanks
Really,a storm in a tea cup!
That whole interview was a jack up. Cambell let him off very lightly - that was a white wash interview. Cambell obvioulsy has a bias towards him. Brown spent way more on his card then what Cambell indicated. Some of his spending he could not 'remember'. Brown only fessed up when he got caught. Brown should be aware of what card he was using. The man is not fit to run a super city if he cannot be trusted with other people's money and he gets 'mixed up' with credit cards. The man is a liability - he is arrogant and has a heightened sense of entitlement.Don't make excuses for him he created his own mess.
I'm a public servant. I can get fired for accepting or not declaring any gift of thanks from a member of the public. Often we do not get to keep gifts ( even if it is a box of chocolates). Let alone spend the publics money - is this not fraud/theft? Regardless if they MIGHT intend to repay it.
What is it with Labour Party political representatives in Manukau? John Kerr - had to resign James Papalii - convicted Taito Philip Field - convicted Hugh Graham - had to resign Len Brown Snouts in the trough- all of them I don't believe the answers given in this video look at his eyes - looking right means making it up
VOTE LEN BROWN FOR SUPERCITY MAYOR!! Everybody makes mistakes and we all arent perfect give the guy a break funds were used and funds were repaid. Whats the issue!!!??...
Hi John, In a city that currently lacks any form of forward thinking from council(s) representation,I just hope whoever wins the race for mayor WILL start spending the money necessary to encourage developments in construction and future planning, I can't see this happening with our 2 likely candidates for mayor, shame really!!
What a "contrived" interview.Campbell is sure "soft" on his "perceived" mates.OK, his wife had the "family" sole personal credit card with her, when purchasing the mini-radio system, from Dick Smith's. Where it was aparently impossible to delay obtaining the item. What about the other two purchaes mentioned in the news paper. "Same excuses again ?" "Give me a break", as one person would say.
LEN FOR MAYOR!!!!GOTTA BE BETTA THAN BURGLAR BANKS!!
