Miley Cyrus' ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth has landed a leading male role in the much-anticipated movie adaptation of bestselling book The Hunger Games.
The Last Song star will play Gale Hawthorne in the project, opposite 2011 Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, who was cast as leading lady Katniss Everdene last month.
Another young actor, Josh Hutcherson, has reportedly joined the line-up as Peeta Mellark in the film, directed by Gary Ross.
