Reformed nu-metallers Limp Bizkit are heading back in to the studio to record a new album, their first since 2005.
"We've written songs during shows in the last tour," guitarist Wes Borland told NME. "Sometimes it's spontaneous; sometimes it's like trying to take down a Tyrannosaurus Rex."
Singer Fred Durst confirmed the move, saying they'd be back in the studio in a "couple of weeks".
The band were recently inducted into the Kerrang! Hall Of Fame, despite a dramatic fall in popularity in recent years – their last album, 2005's The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) struggled to chart, and 2003's Results May Vary is the third-lowest rated album of the decade on reviews aggregator metacritic.com.
Borland, who didn't appear on Results May Vary, appeared upbeat about the band's new material.
"It's like a bunch of finished songs that everyone's done on their home studio set-ups," he said. "Most of the meat of the record will probably be written when we're in a room together."
