Lohan 'to get over $2 million in 2012'

Lindsay Lohan is set to earn more than US$2 million this year, it has been reported.

US website TMZ has added up the star's estimated earnings for film and TV projects as well as celebrity endorsements and worked out that Lindsay can look forward to a generous income in 2012.

The number includes payments for her Playboy shoot, the highly anticipated TV movie Liz & Dick and several promotional duties.

“Lindsay Lohan was flat broke at the time she was sentenced last year in her shoplifting case, but things have changed dramatically, because we've learned she'll rake in more than US$2 million this year. Sources directly involved in Lindsay's finances have given us the breakdown,” the website reports. “Playboy (December issue but she was paid in 2012) US$1 Million, Liz and Dick Lifetime movie US$300,000, The Canyons US$6,480 (scale), Scary Movie (Lindsay is about to sign on) US$200,000. In addition, Lindsay was paid for her appearance on Glee.”

The former child star is also making money from modelling jobs as the face of Philip Klein and endorsing Jag Jeans. In addition, a tweet promoting a company can earn the 26-year-old US$2,000 - $10,000.

Lindsay has been surrounded by reports about her financial difficulties over the years.

After raking in the money with movie hits such as Mean Girls, the star allegedly encountered problems maintaining a healthy bank balance due to her personal troubles affecting her career and lavish lifestyle.
