Lindsay Lohan's big Playboy reveal has been scrapped after the actress missed her flight back to Los Angeles from Hawaii.

The Mean Girls actress was scheduled to officially launch her new nude spread in the men's magazine on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in America on Wednesday - but she missed the taping on Tuesday.

The Lohan interview was still billed during the East Coast broadcast of Ellen's show but a representative for the comedienne has confirmed that Lohan has cancelled the promotional appearance after missing her flight.

The actress was hoping to show exclusive images from the saucy new shoot, which appears in the upcoming January/February issue of Playboy, but the photos leaked online last week.

In the shots, Lohan channels her heroine Marilyn Monroe, sporting platinum blonde hair and posing provocatively.

The actress will be back in Los Angeles in time for her latest court hearing on Wednesday morning - when she'll learn if her community service hours are enough to keep her out of jail for an existing probation violation.
