'Lion Man' Craig Busch is vowing to regain control of his beloved Zion Wildlife Park after having a police escort back on to the property this afternoon.

Mr Busch has been embroiled in a bitter employment dispute with his mother Patricia after she sacked him from the park, near Whangarei.

The matter is due to go back before the courts next week, but this afternoon the one-time reality TV star was granted a court order to allow him back in.

surely after the death of dalu. craig and his mother should make up life is to short for bickering if it was not for craig and his beloved animals their would not be a program his mother is obviously in the administrive side to the business. and her son like dalu could be killed at any time and then the animals are probably missing craig whom they love and adore what a waste of time this fighting is.

what the hell is his mom thinking trying to stop her son from the thing he loves doing and also educating the young the middle aged and the old.about the reprocutions on our actions.Like the white lions they needed some one who knows what they are doing when they are giving birth and if anythink goes wrong. as i watch the show craig is there if he needs to be or not as they are his life

as a uk fan i have been looking at stories about what happened at the wildlife gardens and was very sad to hear about Dalu but i think firing Craig is a bit extreme when taking on jobs of this calibre its enevitable that there will be accidents or killings but those animals need craig and the people who work with big cats in my opinion are hero's

The sooner craig is back at Zion the better. The series was wonderful and Craig is the only one who can work with these beautiful animals.

Perhaps it's time for a prenup to be signed that even though the best precautions are taken there is a sight chance you may die doing the job you love. And I bet all at Zion would sign it.To keep Craig away from the park must be actually killing him ,Zion needs Craig the cats need him & he wants to be with them there. This is not a job for Craig this is his life. If man was not as greedy for money ,animals would have a better chance but with their living enviroment being destroyed and the species threatened Craig is trying to preserve life doing what he thinks is right. He is educating people about these big cats creating interest & perhaps introducing non animal people to the importance & facinating animal world.
He has a gift with cats which cannot be taught as did the crocodile Hunter & although that too was a tragic end the passion, love & care which comes with the gift is enough to dice with the unpredictable wild.
Depriving the world of gifted people like Craig & his team is tragic in itself.CRAIG longing for your return & be strong you have a special gift that must be used .

i watch the show and after being online, reading articles and watching videos i can only say that this is a truley shamefull act from his mother paetricia. Due to personel issues including debt problems Partricia Craiges mother offered to get a loan and re-pay his debts and for a short period maintain (rightfully his) stake hold as director of the park. Now i simple cannot understand how a family dispute or "squabble" as it has so amny times been named, can lead to sacking your own son from a true gift, I wouldnt brand what he has a job" he is naturaly gifted man with nothing but care and love for the animals, the level of work, commitment and sheer determaintion this man has put into the animals is incredible. By watching the programme you can see the fantastci bond he has, it is indescribable and should be appluaded not discriminated. As for the death of the animal handler it is a very sadening story both for the loss of another gifted man but also a beautiful lion Abu. The lion man should rightfully be reinstated to his home were he has created a sanctuary and livelyhood for theese animals. His work, talent and caring nature should rightfully come through this terrible laps of misjudgment. My hopes and wishes are with both the Lion man and his animals.
