Lionel Messi is joining EA Sports and the FIFA franchise as an official ambassador of the videogame.
The Argentine superstar has today announced his new relationship with EA and the first role he will take up is as the cover model for their reboot of FIFA Street.
The move will see Messi promote EA Sports and FIFA titles, while EA will support the Leo Messi Foundation – a charity Messi established to improve health care for children.
“I want to be part of the team behind the best sports football game in the world and be associated with the great EA Sports name,” Messi said in a statement.
