The scene of the crash

A 52-year-old man has been arrested on forgery charges over an email presented as evidence at an inquest into a fatal air crash.

Nearly four years ago a helicopter carrying a flight instructor and a student collided with a Cessna plane carrying another student.

All three people were killed.

Police investigated after an aviation expert denied sending an email presented as evidence at the inquest.

The man will appear in the Porirua District Court tomorrow.
