A 29-year-old New Zealander, understood to be related to murdered Feilding farmer Scott Guy, has been killed in a brutal attack in Western Australia.

Police said Andrew Marshall was having a drink with friends at the Ocean Beach Hotel on Sunday when he was pushed through a plate glass window, ABC Radio reported.

He fell seven metres onto the footpath and later died in hospital from head and spinal injuries.

A 25-year-old man, linked to a bikie gang, has been charged with the murder.

The New Zealand Herald reported that it understood Mr Marshall was a cousin of Mr Guy and was an usher at his funeral last July.

The accused was to appear in the Perth Magistrate's Court today.

Acting Superintendent David Bryson said it would be alleged the attack was unprovoked.

"This is a case of a young man on a Sunday night out with his friends having a beer and simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time," he said.

"This young man did not provoke anyone, that's what we will allege, he was simply grabbed and he was thrown through a level two plate glass window."

He said the alleged offender was with gang members at the hotel.

Police said they had CCTV footage of the incident inside the hotel.

There have been a number of violent issues at the hotel in the last year.

In a similar incident last October, a 28-year-old man was found guilty of assault after an altercation with a 53-year-old man.

He pushed the older man who fell backwards through an open window on the ground floor and fell two metres to the footpath below, knocking him unconscious.

Earlier this year, a 28-year-old man suffered facial and head injuries after he became involved in an argument with bouncers in March.

He was being ejected from the premises at the time.
