A man has died after being cut to death by falling sheets of glass on Auckland’s North Shore.
The Chinese-born man was working inside a container where glass was stored at Sharpeye Ltd, in the light-industrial suburb of Glenfield, when the accident happened around 6.30 last night.
Panes of glass are believed to have crashed down on the man, crushing and cutting him to death.
He died at the scene.
Three workmates who tried to help him suffered lacerations from the glass.
They were treated at North Shore Hospital.
Department of Labour will join police this morning in investigating the incident.
