'Wet Goddess': One man and his dolphin

Zoophilia comes from the Greek words for "animal" and "friendship" or "love".
Now an American man has written a book about it - a first-hand account.
We all love dolphins, from Flipper to Opo – they are a friendly face to the human race.
But Malcolm Brenner, had a friendlier relationship than most.
In 1970, the photographer embarked on a 9 month sexual relationship with Ruby, a captive female dolphin.
He has now written a book about the experience called Wet Goddess.
Mr Brenner spoke to Nightline from his Florida home. Below is the transcript of our conversation.
DF: Thanks for your time. How did this whole thing start?
MB: She began raking her teeth lightly against my arms and legs which was indescribably erotic. Some might find it frightening, I found it erotic.
DF: Now in your book, you talk about how that led on to you two having sex. A lot of people would say that's wrong, what's right in your mind about what you did?
MB: What was right with it is that the dolphin initiated the whole sexual thing. As I mentioned, she was in isolation - she'd be using me to satisfy her sexual needs.
The relationship lasted nine months. When Mr Brenner went to college - Ruby passed away - possibly due to a broken heart.
“I'd warn anyone who's in a relationship with a dolphin. You have to plan an exit strategy,” says Mr Brenner.
Mr Brenner believes around 15 percent of the world’s population has had sexual contact with an animal.
“If you believe the statistics, something like one in every six men and one in seven women has had sexual contact with an animal,” he says.
“How many of those involve dolphins I do not know.”
Mr Brenner’s book, Wet Goddess, is currently rated 5 stars out of 5 on Amazon.com.

I don't understand how people can be disgusted by this. I guess this brings out the whole creationism vs evolution thing. I side with evolution. While evolution has nothing to do with making love to a dolphin. I believe this should be acceptable because of the following reasons:
-I dont believe in creationism or any of that bible stuff that says "man wasn't created for this" or blah blah blah. But that is for another argument
-Dolphins are unlike any other animal. They are really intelligent, they're not like a fish. They are mammals. They can most certainly consent to making love, and a dolphin iniating it is certain proof.
-Dolphins are the only animal other than primates and humans that have sex for "fun". They are unlike horses or dogs which some people relate to beastiality. They are unable to have a sexual relationship that we understand. However, dolphins certainly can. While they display the common trait of the need to reproduce. It is true that they have sex for both emotional bonding and reproduction. In summary, they are capable of a relationship like this.
-I am disgusted at the comments on this page, written without consideration of this man's perpective. Saying he's mental. What's to say that just because he thinks differently means it's some sort of medical illness?
This is incredibly disturbing to me as this is directly opposite to what people believe in. Im talking about democracy. The purpose of democracy is to protect the freedom of individuals by preventing a single person from forcing their will on magnitudes of people. While this is just one man, imagine if you were forced to work for $2 per hour for example, with no power to change that, not a person who cares. If you all were to have your way, this man's free will would be gone. That should not be true for ANY human being. And this is just the start of it, after we fix this problem in humanity, what about captive dolphins and all that? This is the exact hypocrism that makes be disgusted at todays society.
I am 15 years old, I am depressed, I feel like in this world there is nothing for me to look forward to. All your views on this matter reinforce my opinion on today's society. Don't even get me started on countries which are not democratic.

is it wrong tht he had sex with an animal? yes, cause the bible tells us not to. but it isnt animal abuse or whatever u ppl are trying to call it. truth is DOLPHINS ARE HORNY! they r the most sexual animals there r other than humans, there have been multiple scenerios where ppl have been sexually assulted by dolphins, male dolphins even take sex slaves from other herds

I am so absolutely grossed out. Where are u nuts living . ? I will be sure not to move my family anywhere near u. There is a website for pedidiles who move near my neighbor now I'm going to ask the town court to expand this to include zoo-iphiles. The name of the book almost made me throw up a little in my mouth. I have heard of slippery when wet being sexy but this tops the cake. Thank god the lord lives mammals and took this one home. Horrid horrid. Horrid. Good night and i will now have scary nightmares. Thank you but alls for them. Gross.

Honestly dolphins are very smart and because of the way the dolphin was reacting and started everything i dont think its wrong, i mean this is a 400 pound aquatic mammal if she didnt like what was happening she could have very easily gotten away from the man or even killed him

LOl is all I can say,
1) Show me some proof man was created!
( Let them rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the domestic animals all over the earth)Genesis 1:26
2) He didn't abuse or rape the dolphin.
3) If your trying to suggest that it is abuse because an animal cannot give consent, are we then to go around stopping animals from mating? Because they have not told us they were going to? Come on where is your logic.
4) Some may think its perverted or weird, OK your aloud to have that opinion but to say they need "psychiatric attention" please show me someone who doesn't!!
Others may find scat, fisting, bdsm, homosexulity or crossdressing offensive. I do. Everyone in the world does something that will offend someone else. Between consenting individuals... well mind your own business. I do.
5) Do you eat meat? Do you believe the animals want or are consenting slaughtered for food?
6) Do you think the charge he would receive in NZ for having sex with an animal would be fair considering killing 23 seals with a steel poll is only worth 8 months home D?
7) There IS a difference between a Zoophile like Mr Brenner and a Beastialist like this dude:(http://www.savethehumans.com/images/silly_rabbit.jpg)
Is it normal to have to hide behind a cloak of normallity and point the finger at other people to take the heat off yourselfs?
Read the wiki on it make an informed decision at least!

Sigh, i shake my head in despair when i read these kinds of stories. man was not created to have sex with animals. Only someone with a depraved mind would go about doing something like this. THIS IS NOT NORMAL! That poor helpless dophin....and my heart goes out to the gentleman as well. God help us all.

Reading these comments is rather disturbing. Either most of you are 'trolling' or you all need some sought of psychiatric attention.
