Man survives being shot in head

A 43-year-old man is in hospital after being shot in the head last night and police are looking for the gunman.
Tauranga police are investigating the shooting in Meander Drive, Welcome Bay around 9pm yesterday.
Detective senior sergeant Greg Turner says the man was being treated at Tauranga Hospital and his injuries were not life threatening.
He says the man was shot through glass at a residential address.
“An unknown gunman has fired a shot from a shotgun through a closed window through curtains hitting the male in the head with shotgun pellets.”
Police want to speak to anyone who was in the southern end of Meander Drive or nearby between 8pm and 9pm last night.
