Sharples is only saying that because he is indeed racist along with Tariana Turia and the rest of the Maori party. People need to understand racism goes both ways not only towards minorities

ummm this was yesterday But they may not get their way, Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples says the law is outdated and he will review it.
“I'm sure it will be overhauled in terms of the duties, you are right the duties are old and they are written old,” he says.

When asked if the laws were separatism, Mr Sharples agreed.
“Under the act it strictly is, their responsibility is to be there for Maori.”

Kia ora, I have read your comment moderation and agree. My comment is in regards to Maori Wradens and teh Community Development ACT 1962.In your 6pm News Bulletin last night you showed Maori Wardens to be intrusive. The Police did not pull out the 50 year old rules, it has been the guide lines for Maori Wardens since 1962, when hotels had 6pm closing. The Police have never been a part of that Legislation that governs Maori Wardens Roles. It is out dated and is being reviewed, but it is for us to say this not for your news reporters to make their stories up. I encourage you to get a copy of the Act of which can be picked up at any Te Puni Kokiri Office. The Police only come under section 34 which was repealed. We are not racist or discriminatory in any way when we work.
