Mastodon rocker Brent Hinds faces playing gigs while sitting on a stool after breaking his foot.
The singer/guitarist was about to board the band's tour bus last month when he slipped on a patch of ice and snapped a bone in his left foot.
He has been braving the pain to continue performing gigs - but his bandmates fear Hinds will be confined to a chair during their current European tour if the agony gets too much to bear.
Drummer Brann Dailor tells Kerrang! magazine, "He slipped on some black ice on a curb. It didn't seem like that big a deal, he got on the bus and was like, 'Oh my God, my f**king foot is killing me!' The last few shows he's played, he's been in a lot of pain, so we'll see if he has to play sitting down or not."
