Matthew Elliott is set to be announced as the new Warriors coach.
After being dumped at the Panthers last year and replaced by former Warriors coach Ivan Cleary, Elliott is essentially doing a job swap.
3 News has spoken to sources within the Warriors who have confirmed that they have signed their man and it will be announced tomorrow.
Sources close to Elliott in Sydney say he is flying out to Auckland today and it’s more than a one year deal, suggesting it won’t just be an interim role.
Elliott was sacked from his last full time head coach job at the Panthers, but has been coaching since 1996. He has also coached the Raiders and was assistant coach with the Roosters.
