That’s what happens when you vote back in someone what has a proven track record for looking out for himself and not the public he was voted in to work for. (Reminds me of the US voting Bush back in) How can over half of Auckland be so stupid. I certainly didn’t vote for him.

It's still probably better than a 15 year old jappa. In addition to this forget public transport, people will start to get self-drive cars in 5 years time and it'll be in every new car in 15-20. They will probably be electric and "bingo" our green house gas emission problems are solved.

Finally, old Banksie does something right. About time something good came out of his mayoralty. Ditch the Spaceship and get a real man's car. If you've ever been in a Prius, it's like something out of science fiction on the inside, from the computer console in the middle of the dashboard to the 'on' button to start the thing. More hi-tech bells and whistles to go wrong and cause grief. Forget that hippie garbage and give those goody goody wowsers the finger. If you want to 'save the planet', just switch to a clean-burning fuel, rather than that electric/hybrid rubbish. Hi-tech junk like that is for nerds.
