All Black captain Richie McCaw will put his body on the line one more time this season. He’ll be leading an otherwise second string line up into battle against the Victor Matfield Skippered Barbarians at Twickenham on Sunday morning.

It's a case of everybody gets a run in the season finale, with Waikato loosie Liam Messam and Taranaki lock Jason Eaton with arguably the most to prove.

Rodney So'oialo will be out to show he can still contribute despite losing the top number eight spot to Kieran Read.

On the bench - Mike Delany should get his second All Black cap, while in the opposition there's a familiar face who missed out on the tour squad altogether.

After a season he might prefer to forget, Joe Rokocoko is very relaxed at the prospect of facing his fellow countrymen.

“My main aim was to come here and enjoy myself, I came up here with my wife and little boy and we're enjoying London and I’m just trying to have fun as Barbarians do,” said Rokocoko.

Having fun may take priority over impressing the All Black selectors who dumped him after some indifferent form.

With the All Blacks keeping a clean sheet in five tests on tour, the Barbarians won't be lacking for motivation.

“That’s a hell of a challenge to our team, we're likely to be the first team on the Northern Hemisphere tour to score a try against them on the tour that’s a good start,” says Barbarians coach Nick Mallett.

The current crop of Barbarians are hoping to revive the legend that has struggled to keep up with the heady old days typified by Gareth Edwards and co beating the All Blacks in 1973.

Playing for the Barbarians is a unique opportunity in more ways than one.

“Standing in front of the Haka and playing against the All Blacks is something I can write down and say - you know I enjoyed it,” says Rokocoko.

And with names like Matfield, Habana and Giteau in this Barbarians side there's a chance Rokocoko will get to enjoy victory over the All Blacks - as he did for the Barbarians against South Africa two years ago.
