The new year has brought with it some bold, even rash predictions of sporting success and failure.
Last year we spoke to astrologist Don Murray who said the stars weren't aligning for the All Blacks, but came good with the Warriors.
So what does he expect in 2012?
In astrological terms, Murray freely concedes 2011 wasn't his best. His form slump included a bold prediction that the All Blacks would fail at the World Cup.
"These major predictions, I'm usually 80-90 percent," he says. "Last year I dipped a bit. I have my bad phases as well."
But with the ushering in of another new year he's been doing the charts, and once again Richie Mccaw's in his sights.
"He's got a lot of Pluto problems and this could be his last season," says Murray.
Will McCaw's woes see Dan Carter seize the captaincy in time for the next World Cup?
"He's got quite a major promotion in 2015," says Murray.
Last year Murray successfully predicted a big year for the Warriors, and reckons their new coach will lead them to a maiden NRL title.
"I think Bleu McClennan is in for a really good 2012, but there is a major pinnacle for him and the coaching staff in 2013 - I think he could win a title in 2013."
2012 will be a lot about the London Olympics, and Murray is predicting a bleak outlook for two of our best athletes.
"I've had a look at Valerie Adams and Jacko Gill - I think it will be a disappointing year for them.
"Valerie's got Pluto harassing her sun and Mercury, and Jacko's got Neptune harassing his Venus and Mars."
It's a big call considering Adams is the reigning Olympic and three-time world champion.
Then again, Murray's not afraid to go out a limb. Like the teams he analyses, he wins some and he loses some.
