A good step in the sort of right direction by Maccas. I am not a vegetarian by a long shot but I do believe animals need to be given the utmost respect when being breed for the table. pigs tend to be the poor fellas that get shoved in cages all too small for them...! let them out and roam.

Well at the very least this article focused on the reality of the situation - it is all about economics and consumer demand and another coup for big business. I am very grateful no one is emphasizing this as as having anything to do with any concern whatsoever for the "welfare" of nonhuman animals. But then again, at a cookout involving 20 000 eggs and 100 litres of milk it is pretty obvious that animals are the absent referent at this party as they are at all our parties. I think consumer demand is a very important factor, which is why I wish we had more people advocating for veganism and the abolition of animal use, rather than throwing huge parties celebrating another successful marketing campaign by a company that is so inherently involved in such extremes of exploitation of animals, the earth's resources and human labour as to boggle the mind. If you are a consumer and you care about animals, the planet, nonviolence and your children's future on this earth, skip the scramble, think, then Go Vegan!
