EA has announced that Medal of Honor will have downloadable content (DLC) available to be purchased soon.

The game was released earlier this month and fans will soon have the opportunity to pay and download ‘Hot Zone’.

The DLC will include a new ‘King of the Hill’ type mode, where “teams fight over a designated location on a map; the team who holds their position longest prevails”.

In addition, two new maps are included- Hindukush Pass and Korengal Outpost, in which this new mode will also be playable on.

The new mode will also be playable on the current maps Shahikot Valley and Helmand Valley, coming in updated form.

‘Hot Zone’ will be available for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

The content will cost PC/PS3 players $14NZD, while Xbox 360 owners will need to spend 800 Mircosoft Points.

‘Hot Zone’ will become available on the November 3.

However for those that do not wish to spend money on DLC, ‘Clean Sweep’ will also be available free of charge at the same date.

‘Clean Sweep’ will consist of a team-based elimination mode with two new maps - Bagram Hangar and Khyber Caves.

Do you feel that EA ripped you off with the release of Medal of Honor? Then read this: The Hot Zone 10 dollar dlc is what the executives are using to help ensure they get their million dollar bonuses this year. I will not give in to this. Game companies started this trend of charging for dlc. Now EA is taking it a step further by releasing the original game at a premium price with very little content, and then charging us for very little more content a few weeks later? If we give in to this.....this will become the norm! I guarantee it. If we don't buy it, they might start to think that we are not complete idiots. One thing they have to understand, WE PAY THEIR PAYCHECKS. So stop trying to rake us over the coals. We're not going to stand for it. If you agree with these statements, and feel that the game should have been released with both the Clean Sweep and Hot Zone DLC's included, then please sign this petition on the EA forums. http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/3482645.page They may not listen to one or two of us, but if we all shout out and say "hey, we're not gonna take it anymore!" then we just might have a chance at making a difference. Thank you.
