Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich is secretly plotting a metal supertour, which will include his band, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.

Slayer guitarist Kerry King has let it slip that negotiations have started during an interview with Britain's Metal Hammer magazine.

Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax toured with Alice In Chains on the Clash Of The Titans tour in 1991, while Metallica and Megadeth played a one-off show in Britain in 1993 - but the four acts have never performed on the same bill.

King says, "I don't know Lars that well and I haven't heard it from Lars, but apparently he's talking to somebody about it. Maybe us, Metallica, Megadeth (and), I think he even threw in Anthrax."

The guitarist insists Machine Head would be a better fit than Anthrax, but he's game for the tour.

There's no way they'd come to NZ. We just don't have the numbers. But they'll probably go to Aussie, and I would happily pay airfares there for this!

So many people who hear about this wont even care about this, but this is pretty monumntal considering 1.Four headline acts and 2.THE BIG FOUR OF THRASH!?!? I know of so many people who would litterally kill for tickets. so dont pass this off as "unworthy: of news, because for me and my fellow metal heads, this is what jesus returning is to christians.
