There are larger mega thrust earthquakes that are possible in Alaska, Chile, NZ and Kermadecs at any given time. Potentially as high as a 9.+. But one cannot spend life dwelling on such things. There is a vibe in the air but that could be explained by mass hysteria through the over saturation of media hyperbole of such risks and historic catastrophe
