Video: Mighty Mini turns 50-years-old

The original Mini is a classic sure it was a harsh ride but coupled with go-cart handling it was the ultimate fun car to have.The new version only has the name not the character. Its not cheap to repair, you cant work on it yourself - you need a degree in computers !
The original in this case is deffinatley the best !!

Ron, I think the story was about the Mini reaching 50 years, had it not been for the new Mini (built in Oxford, England) it would have been all over after 41 years.

Why did you load this article with rebadged BMWs rather than good old Minis?, the new stuff has NOTHING in common with the original car in size, shape, design... & especially character!! Buying the naming rights doesnt make it the same car that was slatted on Top Gear & the old saying 'no matter how hard you rub, you cant polish a turd' springs to mind. Saying that these new cars built in a different country by a different manufacturer with totally different parts are celebrating 'their' 50th anniversary is a travesty. Very poor IMO, at least consult enthusiasts before putting some wannabe posers on screen!
