PR or not, makes no diff. Pero is a Hero. And as others have put it, Air NZ should have put their money where their mouth is. Instead they are opening their mouths and putting both feet in as its glaringly obvious what they should do or should have done years ago. It was Air NZ's apology that was shallow. Kia Ora Mike. We need a few more like him.

Air NZ are the ones who have made this situation like it is today by claiming no responsibility in an arrogance seldom seen in this country.
They had their chance in 1989 and 1999 to do the 'good thing' by the families but instead chose to be in total denial.
Totally agree Dan - go Mike Pero!!!

Mike Pero is using this situation to get more PR and self promotion for him self. For a start, of all people (lets think back to Origin), he shouldnt be going anywhere near airlines, planes or anything to do with aviation! More so he is banking on a very sensitive issue for New Zealanders and then playing a victim card as if he has been disadvantaged. Very shallow

Shame on Air New Zealand. If they do not have the heart to arrange a free charter for the next of kin then atleast let someone else arrange it, even if it has become a commercial venture. Useless is the word that comes to mind when you think about our National Airline.
