Miley Cyrus in the sexy 'Can't Be Tamed' video

Miley Cyrus in the sexy 'Can't Be Tamed' video

By Daniel Rutledge

A sexy video for Miley Cyrus’ single ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ has been released in which the singer desperately tries to shed her Disney image.

The 17-year-old Hannah Montana star performs a raunchy pole-dance in the video while dressed in an S&M style black bodice.

She also writhes around on her back in a very low-cut top, wears black bird wings and thigh-high boots while dancing inside a giant birdcage and dances intimately with male partners.

It’s not the first time Cyrus has hit headlines for risqué behaviour.

Saucy amateur photos of her pulling up her tee-shirt and looking provocatively into the camera hit the internet in 2008, the same year a racy photo spread of the then 15-year-old was published in Vanity Fair.

Last year, Cyrus was criticised for pole-dancing at the Teen Choice Awards.

More recently she performed a duet with Bret Michaels in which the 46-year-old Rock of Love star asked her to shed her clothes, although he denied the lyrics were aimed at her.

Cyrus gained worldwide fame in 2006 in Hannah Montana, playing a teen with a secret life as a pop star. The TV show launched a singing career which gave her four No.1 albums in three years.

With the ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ video, Cyrus has made it very clear she wishes to cast aside any resemblance to the Disney alter ego that made her famous and be regarded from now on as an adult singer.

I was reading all of your comments and I agree with some of them. She's growing up in world of very sexy advertisements, and in a world of being judged on everything she does. I'm only two years older than that girl, and I just want to say to those parents who had a fit: I can totally understand your concern and everything. but at the same time, watch what your children are exposed to!!! You are letting your girls and boys watch this crap. if you feel that strongly about this kind of thing, instead of bitching about it online, watch what your kids are watching!!!!!

Good for Miley. She is almost 18 years old which would make her legally an adult. She's all grown up now and can do what she likes. She doesn't owe anyone anything. So good for her in taking control of her own life and career despite what people will say about her. We can't stay young and innocent forever! Anyhow, that's the ups and downs for famous people.

I am sorry to say, but she is coming along as normal as she can. Pop has always done this to younger impressionable females. I hear so many talking crap and i just have to shake my head. Sure miley flaunted her underage sexuality in this video, but sheesh people, we live in a sad society where underage fornication happens all the time, where i have to be overly protective about my youngest sister because i don't want some scuzz ball violating her, but it can't be stopped. Gaurnteed that at least 60% of those of you reading this with children coming into there sexuality are fornicating. In a society that absolutely drips with sexuality, be it commercials, ^music videos^, movies, tv shows, or even in school... it has become OK in the minds of the young generation coming into thier own. Welcome to life, impressions are made, and in turn make the people. Miley doesn't exactly have her pick of the litter when it comes to romodels in her particuler genre of music. Two words people, brittany spears. So go ahead, be angry, whatever, but she is still a kid and impressionable, and lets not forget, for a video like that, her father had to of consented...

This is total bull no girl her age should be acting like a lesbian in front of 10 year olds. I would love to see Disney kick her ass off the channel and remove her songs from their websites and radio playlists. Good job Miley you screwed up again for the billionth time.

Totally disappointed indeed. We all knew she wasn't happy with the whole Disney thing, but geez it is terrible to see such a big change after so many young girls loved seeing her. Not happy at all. She could have waited until getting older and transition to it if really wanted to. Obviously not as bad as these athletes doing wrong things, but a terrible thing by Miley and hope she flops for this. Very disappointed.
