Miranda Kerr says women are just like flowers because they are all beautiful.
The Victoria’s Secret model has penned a self-help book in the past and wants to help females across the world boost their confidence.
She explains the vital thing is not to compare yourself to anyone else as everyone has their own strengths.
“I can’t feel bad about being who I am, just like the girl next to me can’t feel bad about being who she is. Because a rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose,” she mused.
“I want to encourage women to embrace their own uniqueness. Because just like a rose is beautiful, so is a sunflower, so is a peony. I mean, all flowers are beautiful in their own way, and that’s like women too.”
Miranda became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2007. She first came across the brand during a trip to America from her native Australia when she was 16.
The 28-year-old can vividly recall how amazed she was when the lingerie firm asked her to work for them.
“I just remember, like, the first time I met Adriana [Lima], she was so beautiful. I was like, ‘Why would they want me? I mean, look at her. She’s incredible,” she recalled to New York magazine. “And then I met Heidi [Klum] and Gisele [Bundchen] and I was like, ‘What am I doing here?’”
