Two skiers missing in the South Island in freezing overnight conditions have been found alive.
A search involving specialist rescue teams resumed at first light on the Ohau Snow Fields in McKenzie country.
The man and woman are said to be safe and well despite temperatures dropping below freezing overnight.
A helicopter with night vision goggles and ground crews searched the area yesterday afternoon but could find nothing before poor weather forced the search to be called off.
More to follow.
