A Mongrel Mob member was today fined $500 and had his insignia confiscated under Wanganui's new gang patch bylaw.

Peter Randal Nahona, 45, was one of the first people to be charged under the district's new bylaw which came into effect last week.

He pleaded guilty in Wanganui District Court today to wearing a hat and a sweatshirt bearing Mongrel Mob insignia.

Three other men - a Tribesman gang member, a Mongrel Mob member and a Hells Angel member - were remanded on bail to reappear later this month on similar charges.

Awesome law alright Mr Laws. Your police and justice system will be tied up sorting this one out. And then you will call for more police. You may find the gangs get together and really cause some problems. Come on the problem is not what the gangs are wearing its what they are doing. They don't give two hoots what they are wearing when they are involved in crime. But you wont have enough police to catch them anyway, cause they will be to busy arresting gang members for what they are wearing. You have just created a bigger problem I believe. Remember this; the MAFIA wore suits and you couldn't pick them from the crowd, at least with insigna's on you can identify them easily enough.
